AWS
Engine Eol
RDS, Aurora, ElastiCache and EKS engines reaching End-of-Life within the next year.
Live preview — demo data
What this pane shows
Database, cache and Kubernetes engine versions running in the account with their published EOL date, days remaining, the upgrade target AWS recommends, and (where applicable) the extended-support surcharge that kicks in after EOL. Versions within a year of EOL are surfaced first.
Key use cases
- Plan engine upgrades on a quarterly cadence.
- Avoid the Extended Support surcharge by upgrading before EOL.
- Catch a new instance launched on an already-EOL engine version.
- Brief leadership on database modernisation timing.
How to embed
lp.js is the single-entry loader: it injects the shared LightPane runtime
(and sd-embed.css) once per page. Add this pane's own stylesheet and script;
the pane mounts itself wherever the matching <div> is in the DOM.
<!-- In <head> — this pane's stylesheet -->
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://lightpane.io/_pane-tests/aws/engine-eol/engine-eol.css">
<!-- Your access key (inline, or set window.lpEmbed.accessKey from your own JS) -->
<script>window.lpEmbed = { accessKey: "<your-access-key>" };</script>
<!-- Where the pane should appear -->
<div class="lp-engine-eol-panel" data-lp-account="<your-account-alias>"></div>
<!-- Before </body> — shared loader + this pane's script -->
<script src="https://lightpane.io/embed/lp.js"></script>
<script src="https://lightpane.io/_pane-tests/aws/engine-eol/engine-eol.js" defer></script>
