We make cloud visibility light.

LightPane is the flagship product from Clouds & Light Ltd., built by people who spent a decade watching “the dashboard project” outlast the thing it was meant to observe.

The best dashboard is the one you never had to build. So we made LightPane deliberately small — a catalogue that keeps itself warm, an SDK that fits in a tweet, and access keys scoped tightly enough that you can hand an embed to any team without a security review.

The word Light does a lot of work here. Lightweight to install. Light-touch on your cloud bill. And the literal kind of light we bring to every pane — a warm glow that means “this data is alive, right now, and you can trust what you’re looking at.”

We ship small, iterate fast, and treat the embed snippet like a contract. If you’ve ever pasted a pane into a runbook and the team’s incident response got 40% faster that week, we’d like to hear about it.

Principles we hold to

  • 01 · Discover quickly.
We make it easy and safe to connect your cloud resources for discovery.
  • 02 · Display anywhere.
The reader’s page wins. We fit in; we don’t demand a move.
  • 03 · Scope small.
Every key sees the minimum it needs. Read-only by default.
  • 04 · Stay light.
Five lines of code are enough to drop a discovery pane into any webpage or workflow.
  • 05 · Flexible but secure.
Every access key controls which services can be viewed — and which pages can view them.

Alistair McLaurin
I spent 13 years running enterprise cloud projects at AWS, JP Morgan, and HSBC. A problem I frequently observed was that compliance teams would wait weeks for cloud data which was stale before it arrived. Access to cloud data was complex, and consolidating it across multiple teams was harder still. I founded Clouds and Light so this data is live, always, for everyone who needs it.
